Images that are genuine, energetic, emotional, and creative, without being forced, or overly traditional are always what I set out to do when I'm behind the camera. I'm passionate about people and relationships--that is the driving force behind my work. When I was a child I loved sitting in the back seat of my parent's station wagon as we drove through San Francisco at night. I could see people inside their homes and it was like a peek into another world. Each window that we passed was a snap shot...it was life, unrehearsed and available for everyone to see.
I wish photography could always be an unrehearsed snap shot of life. Wouldn't it be great to have some honest memories like photographs of folding laundry or sitting on the couch eating a bowl of ice cream? That would be the true essence of what my life looks like. I think it's kind of funny that we tend to only take pictures when we are all dolled up. When someone does snag one of those mundane moment shots, we usually tell them to delete that shot...right?
When I take pictures, my goal is always to find that "something special" about you. I want my couples to look back in 20 years and be able to reconnect with their love and the great day they confessed that love to the world.
My love for art happened at a very young age. From creating pottery out of mud pies at age five to completing my Master's Degree in Art and Painting, I knew this was what I was suppose to be doing. I'm so happy that I can share my love for art and photography with you.
If you like my work and would like to know more about being in front of my camera or are interested in a painting, I'd love to hear from you.
